Examine the key challenges of decision-making, engagement, policy-making, and planning for sustainability faced by rural governments, and governance, in the 21st century. Part of the Sustainability 101: Certificate in Rural Sustainability series of one-day, open enrolment short courses.

Who should attend? Sustainability 101 was designed to be responsive to the needs of elected officials, municipal administrators, not-for-profit organizations, economic development, and even small businesses, who have articulated a desire for more advanced education and training to benefit the governance, administration, and resilience of rural communities.

Location: U of A – Augustana Campus

Courses can be taken individually depending upon subject of interest, or as a series. Complete all five Sustainability 101 courses, in any order, to receive your Certificate in Rural Sustainability from the University of Alberta – Augustana Campus.
