The Cannabis Conundrum
Given the Canadian government’s intent to legalize marijuana and the experience of the now several states in the United States that have already legalized it, one can’t help but think of the number of questions that will arise. How will the legalization of marijuana be implemented? Is legalization a good idea from the perspective of how marijuana affects the brain? What policy changes do universities anticipate around smoking on campus? What are the public health implications of the legalization? What problems might arise for addictions counsellors if marijuana becomes more widespread? This panel will address these questions from a number of perspectives, and will also welcome questions from the audience.
