Happy December! Here are a few highlights from this week’s newsletter:
- Are you a student dreaming of next summer while trudging through the snow? How about taking on a paid summer internship in rural Alberta, as part of the Pathways Program? Attend an information session today or tomorrow at noon in the Learning Commons if interested!
- Attend the Student Academic Conference (SAC) next Monday evening from 6 to 10 pm to support your peers or students and check out presentations on research topics that range from yoga to food security and folk music to web design. Classes are still running that day (unless otherwise noted by your professor).
- Next Tuesday is our annual Nobel Prize Lunch & Learn. After a brief introduction of Alfred Nobel and the science prizes awarded in his name, professor Neil Haave, Gerhard Lotz, and Sheryl Gares will present on last year’s prizes chemistry, physics, and physiology/medicine, respectively. Register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 780-679-1626.
Have a great week!
