Happy Wednesday! FYS and 3-week classes are in full swing. In need of a break? Attend the Chaplaincy campfire in the Quad tonight at 7:30, or check out some of the other fun Arrive & Thrive events happening this week (including a bus trip to West Edmonton Mall with the ASA this Sunday). Focusing on your studies? How about an academic skills workshop to really excel? Attend tonight’s How to Rock Your Presentation session (sign up online here).   • Friday, September 13 is Green and Gold Day! Join the UAlberta community in celebrating the people who make the U of A the vibrant, involved and innovative community that it is—students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Wear your green and gold and UAlberta swag and post and tag #UAlberta on social media on the 13th!

  • Staff and Faculty are welcome to attend a number of the student arrive and thrive events, including:
    • September 5 – A Walk Through Colonization facilitated by  Ryan “Gitz Crazyboy” Derangé
      • 9 am and 2 pm on the LPAC stage

    • September 5 – Titilope Williams (Sonuga) Workshops – The Elephant in the Room: An exploration of race, identity & inclusion on Canadian Campuses

    • September 9 – Augustana Neighbourhood Association welcome BBQ
      • 5 pm in the Soccer Field (north end)
